Latch-On Program
|
What Is it?
The Latch-On Program enhances literacy development of young adults with Down syndrome through reading, writing and speech.
Once students are able to decode texts, they often still have difficulty in comprehension and reading for meaning. A primary objective of the program is to develop comprehension skills. As well, teacher modelling strengthens the students' writing and speaking skills. |
